Brunswick Ballmaster Open 2022 - INFO

Brunswick Ballmaster Open is the most known bowling tournament in Europe. The tournament is played since 1971. Now in 2022, the Tournament is the 52nd year in a row. Since 1974 the Tournament is played in the world-famous Tali Bowl. Bruswick Ballmaster Open is part of the European Bowling Tour. The 50th Anniversary tournament was the richest tournament in the Tour ever with 150.200 euro total price money. The Anniversary tournament was a record-breaking tournament in many ways. 690 different bowlers from 28 different countries all over the world made a total of 1334 entries.

The Brunswick Ballmaster Open 2021 was held during the COVID-19 pandemic. Even we have the pandemic the numbers in the tournament were ok. We live in a strange world right now. After the 2021 tournament in August, we thought that in January 2022 we could have almost normal tournament. Unfortunately, the truth will be we will have a tournament with “closed doors” and without audience.

We have dropped the prize money from our plans, but the prize money still is above August and probably the second highest in 2022 European Bowling Tour.

We also have made some minor schedule changes due the COVID-19 restrictions.

The Brunswick Ballmaster Open will be one of the richest in EBT also in 2022. The last qualification squad is on Saturday 15.1.2022 at 15:15. Top 48 from qualification including top 3 from squads 1 to 8, top 2 from squads 9 to 11, top 2 from squads 12 to 14, and top 3 from the Desperado squad goes to the finals. The top 16 from the qualification goes directly to the final step 2. The first step of the finals for players seeded in positions 17 to 48 will start on Sunday at 8:00. See the full schedule.

Read the tournament rules in European Tenpin Bowling Federation website.
